Korean popular girl group KARA wrote a new history of Oricon Chart.
KARA's new single album ‘Go Go Summer’ranked Oricon weekly chart No. 2 sold out 114,000 in the first week of release: introduced last month, June 29.
Kara's music sales surpassed 100,000 volumes continuously followed by the third single, "Jet Coaster love". Jet Coaster love has launched in April of this year and sold out 123,000. This is the best-selling record of foreign female artist ever in.
Furthermore, this is the first time in Oricon chart history of 44 years that female artist including solo exceeded 100,000 sales in the first week on release continuously in turn.
If male artist would be included, the record an artist exceeded 100,000 sales in the first week on release continuously in turn is the second achievement after Tong Vfang Xien Qi(TVXQ).
Kara laid on top 5 on Oricon chart all four their single album: 'Mr.', 'Jumping', 'Jet Coaster love', and ‘Go Go Summer’.
