Psy makes a contract with Island Def Jam for the song ‘Gangnam Style’: Joins Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi, and Neyo


Korean singer Psy signed a contract with Island Def Jam, the agency of Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi, and Neyo, etc.
Thanks to this contract, Psy has gained a foothold in the world market including North American market.

A staff of YG Entertainment said that the contract is about copyright of Psy’s albums to be released in worldwide except for Korea and management for him, on September 4.
A staff of YG Entertainment also said that further details including album release schedule are yet to be determined and expected to debate on them in the near future.




It is said that Psy received the suggestions from Scooter Braun, the manager of Justin Bieber's. 
The suggestions contain proposal to launch the Gangnam Style’s recordings in the United States.



Gangnam Style music video is causing the syndrome worldwide because of the "horse riding dance".
The music video has been viewed 98.4 million times since it was uploaded in July.
Psy said that he got the idea about the horse riding dance after watching a dancer’s dance of a staff talent show.


Psy will attend the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in the US, which will be held in LA Staples Center on September 6.

MTV VMA Music Awards recognized one of the most prestigious events to select the world's premier music video, and Korean singer Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) was invited and observed Awards as a representative of the 2005 Asia.



Gangnam Style ranked 30th on the iTunes music charts in the USA on September 4.
